Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Wholesale Picker Packer with a focus on bulk goods to join our Bath distribution centre. This ongoing, full-time position is critical to ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of large volume orders to our diverse customer base. You will be responsible for meticulously picking, packing, and preparing various products, primarily bulk items, for delivery, maintaining our high standards of quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack bulk goods according to order sheets and established procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and trolleys safely and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items are correctly labelled and secured for transit.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management tasks as required.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing targets.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the line manager.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items (bulk goods).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading order sheets and labels.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre setting.
- Experience with bulk goods handling or foodservice wholesale.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Valid MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) or forklift license (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) is a plus.
