Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented WFH Shopify Specialist to join our digital team on a part-time basis. This is a student-friendly position, perfect for someone looking to gain valuable e-commerce experience while balancing their studies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our Shopify storefront, ensuring a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our customers. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in Saskatoon.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management and maintenance of our Shopify e-commerce store.
- Upload and update product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing accurately.
- Monitor website performance, identifying and reporting any issues or areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of new features, apps, and themes on the Shopify platform.
- Assist with inventory synchronization and order fulfillment processes.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure promotional campaigns are effectively displayed online.
- Perform quality assurance checks on website content and functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify best practices and new platform features.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of e-commerce principles and online retail.
- Familiarity with the Shopify platform (even basic usage is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (e.g., Marketing, Business, Computer Science).
- Previous experience working with any e-commerce platform.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is an asset.
- Experience with digital marketing tools or analytics platforms.
