Job Description
Join the UPS team as a Package Delivery Driver in Oxnard, CA! We are looking for dedicated individuals ready for immediate hire to deliver packages safely and efficiently. As a driver, you will be the face of UPS, ensuring timely deliveries and providing excellent service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and company regulations.
- Deliver and pick up packages on assigned routes within scheduled timeframes.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records using handheld devices.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing their delivery needs.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, requiring physical effort.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
Required Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages up to 70 pounds.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or driving role.
- Familiarity with the Oxnard, CA area.
- Proven track record of safe driving.
