Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team as Weekend Warriors. This specialized role focuses on providing exceptional patient care during Saturday and Sunday shifts, offering premium hourly rates to recognize your commitment. As a Weekend Warrior RN, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of care, ensuring continuity and quality services for our patients over the weekend. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking for a flexible schedule with competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients on assigned units during weekend shifts.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient conditions, record observations, and report changes to the medical team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Specialty certification (e.g., Medical-Surgical, Critical Care).
  • Experience in an acute care setting.
  • Prior experience working weekend-only shifts.
