Job Description
Are you detail-oriented, friendly, and looking for an easy, part-time role? Sam’s Club is seeking a Receipt Checker to join our team in Scottsdale. In this crucial front-line role, you will be responsible for verifying membership receipts against purchased items as members exit the club. This position is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy, preventing loss, and ensuring a positive final interaction for our valued members. It’s an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking a straightforward job in a dynamic retail environment, involving mostly standing and light interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all departing members with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Efficiently and accurately compare items in members' carts/baskets with the items listed on their purchase receipts.
- Identify and address any discrepancies between items and receipts in a courteous and professional manner, directing members to appropriate staff if necessary.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence at the club exit.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized exit area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to loss prevention and customer service.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer basic member questions.
Required Skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (entire shift).
- Customer-centric attitude and ability to interact politely with members.
- Basic understanding of loss prevention principles (training provided).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
