Job Description

IKEA Winnipeg is looking for a dedicated Wardrobe Hinge Adjuster to join our Quick Cabinet Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the expert adjustment and fine-tuning of wardrobe and cabinet hinges, ensuring smooth operation, proper alignment, and customer satisfaction. This is an essential role in maintaining the quality and longevity of our products both on the showroom floor and occasionally for customer service requests. Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise adjustments to wardrobe and cabinet hinges to ensure proper functionality and alignment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hinge-related issues, including squeaks, sagging doors, and misalignment.
- Replace faulty or worn-out hinges as needed, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on showroom furniture displays to ensure optimal presentation and operation.
- Assist customers with hinge-related inquiries and provide expert solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Document maintenance activities and parts used accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Basic understanding of carpentry or furniture assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams or assembly instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing hinge issues.
