Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Onboarding Specialist to join our dynamic HR Tech team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexible daytime hours to support our global talent acquisition efforts. As an Onboarding Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all new hires, from offer acceptance through their first few weeks. You will leverage our cutting-edge HR technology platforms to streamline processes, provide clear communication, and facilitate a welcoming introduction to Workday’s culture. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end virtual onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation and system requirements are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing guidance throughout their onboarding journey.
- Coordinate with HR Business Partners, IT, and other departments to ensure a smooth transition and setup for new employees.
- Conduct virtual onboarding sessions and presentations, introducing new hires to company culture, policies, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies during the onboarding phase.
- Utilize and optimize HR Information Systems (HRIS) and other HR tech tools to manage onboarding workflows and data.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the onboarding experience and processes.
- Provide regular updates and reports on onboarding status to relevant stakeholders.
- Support pre-boarding activities, including background checks and system access provisioning.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role, preferably with a focus on onboarding or recruitment coordination.
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and other HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of individuals remotely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Familiarity with UK employment law and compliance requirements.
- Certification in HR (e.g., CIPD) or project management.
