Job Description
Are you passionate about guiding individuals towards achieving their personal and professional goals? BetterUp is seeking empathetic and skilled Virtual Life Guides to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates across all USA regions. As a Virtual Life Guide, you will provide personalized, one-on-one coaching to our members, helping them navigate challenges, identify strengths, and develop actionable strategies for growth. You will be instrumental in fostering resilience, enhancing well-being, and driving measurable positive change in their lives. We are looking for individuals who embody our values of growth, empathy, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, personalized virtual coaching sessions with members to understand their aspirations and challenges.
- Develop and implement customized coaching plans tailored to individual member needs and objectives.
- Utilize BetterUp's proprietary platform and tools to track member progress and engagement.
- Provide constructive feedback, support, and accountability to help members achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of coaching interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance coaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless member experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong active listening and empathetic abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others.
- Proficiency with virtual communication tools and platforms (e.g., video conferencing, online scheduling).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload of members.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in life coaching, career coaching, counseling, or mentorship.
- Relevant coaching certification (e.g., ICF ACC, PCC, MCC).
- Familiarity with positive psychology, behavioral science, or organizational development principles.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual professional environment.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
