Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic product design team in Oshawa. This pivotal role involves leading the design process from concept to execution, creating intuitive and engaging experiences for our enterprise-level software solutions. You will be responsible for defining user flows, crafting wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, and collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. As a Senior Designer, you will also mentor junior designers and champion design best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full UI/UX design lifecycle for complex enterprise applications, from initial research to final implementation.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
- Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that align with product goals and user needs.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and quality assurance.
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development process.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of growth and design excellence.
- Contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
- Present design concepts and rationales to stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions and their impact.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably in an enterprise or SaaS environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of UI/UX projects and demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and front-end development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead design projects and mentor team members.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience designing for complex data visualization or analytical tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience contributing to or managing design systems.
- Previous experience in a global team environment.
- Certifications in UX/UI design or related fields.
