Job Description

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a motivated Trainee Forestry Technician to join our team in Pasadena, California. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced forestry technicians and arborists with various field tasks related to tree and forest management.
  • Learn and apply proper techniques for tree planting, pruning, and removal under supervision.

  • Conduct basic surveys and data collection related to forest health, pest, and disease outbreaks.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely, including chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools (with proper training).

  • Support vegetation management efforts along utility corridors or in park-like settings.
  • Contribute to reports and documentation of field activities.

Required Skills
