Job Description
Join XPO Logistics as a Tractor-Trailer Driver for regional routes. This role offers the stability of consistent routes that will get you home on weekends, allowing for a better work-life balance. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods across designated regional areas, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport freight regionally
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods
- Maintain electronic logs and complete all necessary paperwork
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delays or issues
- Ensure the security of cargo during transit
- Operate within designated routes, ensuring home weekends
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the job (e.g., coupling/uncoupling trailers)
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Experience with regional routes
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement
