Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Search Query Analyst with a strong focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to join our growing team in Ipswich. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing search query data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize client websites and content for improved search engine visibility and performance. You will work closely with SEO specialists, content creators, and data scientists to enhance our clients’ digital footprint and achieve their marketing objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of search query data from various sources (Google Search Console, third-party SEO tools) to identify user intent, keyword opportunities, and content gaps.
  • Monitor search performance metrics, including rankings, organic traffic, and click-through rates, reporting on key trends and anomalies.
  • Perform keyword research to discover high-value terms and phrases relevant to client industries and target audiences.
  • Identify and analyze competitor search strategies and performance to inform our SEO tactics.
  • Collaborate with SEO strategists and content teams to develop data-driven recommendations for content optimization, site structure, and technical SEO improvements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on search query performance and insights for internal teams and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithm changes, industry trends, and SEO best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of SEO campaigns, ensuring all activities are aligned with client goals and data insights.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an SEO or digital marketing analyst role.
  • Proficiency in using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other major SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and core SEO principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of SQL or other programming languages for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with international SEO best practices.
  • Certifications in Google Analytics or Google Ads.
