Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our innovative team in Bradford. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading complex technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical requirements into actionable plans and managing cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of technical projects, adhering to Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, including software engineers, data scientists, QA specialists, and product owners.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business units, and senior management.
  • Ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and architectural standards.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
  • Champion continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in a software development or data-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, or financial services technology.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
