Job Description
Are you an active individual who enjoys working outdoors and staying fit? We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Trolley Assistants / Retrievers to join our team in Cardiff. In this essential role, you will ensure our customers have easy access to clean, safe shopping trolleys, contributing significantly to a positive shopping experience. This is a dynamic, hands-on position perfect for someone who thrives in an active environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect and retrieve shopping trolleys from various locations across the car park and store premises.
- Ensure trolleys are clean, safe, and readily available for customer use, returning them to designated bays.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the car park area, including tidying stray baskets and litter.
- Assist customers with trolley-related inquiries or issues, providing a friendly and helpful service.
- Report any damaged trolleys or potential car park hazards to management promptly.
- Work effectively as part of a larger store team to support overall operations and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, pushing, and lifting in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or similar outdoor role.
- Familiarity with general store layout and operational procedures.
