Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented WFH Dispatcher Assistant to join our remote logistics support team. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to our global operations from anywhere. As a Dispatcher Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of our logistics operations by providing critical support to our dispatch team. You will assist with scheduling, route optimization, communication with drivers, and data entry, all from your home office. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dispatchers with daily scheduling and routing of deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Monitor shipment progress and track vehicles using designated software.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs and delivery confirmations.
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Support the optimization of routes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks as required to support logistics operations.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software or similar scheduling tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
