Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Assistant to join our thriving tax practice in Sheffield. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in tax, offering exposure to various aspects of taxation for a diverse client portfolio. The successful candidate will support our tax teams in preparing tax computations, managing client data, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will work closely with experienced tax professionals, providing an excellent foundation for a successful career in tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of corporate and personal tax computations.
- Support the submission of tax returns to HMRC within statutory deadlines.
- Maintain accurate client records and manage tax documentation.
- Conduct basic tax research and analysis to support client engagements.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding tax queries.
- Help with administrative tasks related to tax compliance and advisory projects.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
