Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sustainable Packaging Line Worker to join our eco-friendly factory in Whitby, Ontario. This full-time day shift position is integral to our production process, focusing on the efficient and sustainable packaging of our products. You will operate and monitor packaging machinery, ensure product quality, and contribute to a safe and clean working environment. This role is perfect for individuals committed to environmental responsibility and seeking to make a tangible impact in a growing green industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including fillers, sealers, and labelers, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Load raw materials and packaging components onto the production line.
- Monitor production for any issues, reporting malfunctions or defects promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets and promote a positive work environment.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on sustainability and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg, and perform repetitive tasks.
