Job Description

Essex Elite Signage Solutions is looking for a motivated and reliable Signage Installer Helper to join our growing team in Colchester. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are keen to learn the ropes of professional signage installation. You will work alongside experienced installers, assisting with a variety of tasks crucial to successful project completion. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior installers with the preparation, loading, and unloading of tools, materials, and signage.
- Help to prepare installation sites, including minor clearing and ensuring a safe working area.
- Hold signs, banners, and other installation components securely in place during fitting.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Support the team in cleaning up the work site post-installation, ensuring it is tidy and free of debris.
- Learn and apply best practices for safe working procedures and proper tool handling.
- Follow instructions diligently from team leaders and senior installers.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry materials.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills.
- A basic understanding of workplace safety is a plus, but full training will be provided.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid UK driving license (Category B) is preferred, as travel to various sites within Essex will be required.
- Previous experience with general hand tools (e.g., from DIY projects or hobbies).
