Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Project Manager to lead our web design and development projects. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and client brief through to launch and post-launch support. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing complex e-commerce projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple Shopify web design and development projects concurrently, ensuring successful delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing regular updates, and fostering strong relationships.
- Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules.
- Oversee project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring profitability.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and QA specialists.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct quality assurance to ensure all project deliverables meet high standards and client requirements.
- Facilitate project meetings, stand-ups, and review sessions.
- Provide strategic recommendations to clients based on e-commerce best practices and Shopify capabilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, specifically with web development or e-commerce projects.
- Demonstrable expertise with the Shopify platform (Shopify Plus experience is a strong asset).
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of web design, front-end development, and UX/UI principles.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, Trello).
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or CSM certification.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
- Background in digital marketing or SEO.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
