Job Description
As a Shopify Integration Expert at CGI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing seamless integrations between Shopify e-commerce platforms and critical enterprise systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). You will be responsible for ensuring data consistency, optimizing workflows, and enhancing the overall digital commerce ecosystem for our diverse client base. This role requires a strong understanding of both Shopify’s capabilities and various integration methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of Shopify integrations with ERP, CRM, and other third-party systems.
- Develop custom integration solutions using Shopify APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, and migration activities.
- Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of integrated systems.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for Shopify integrations and e-commerce architecture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues, offering ongoing support and maintenance.
- Stay updated with Shopify's evolving features and new integration technologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Shopify API (Storefront API, Admin API)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and webhooks
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and concepts
- Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Boomi, MuleSoft, custom solutions)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Solid programming skills (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Python, Node.js, PHP)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Plus experience
- Certification in a relevant ERP or CRM system
- Experience with GraphQL
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Previous consulting experience
