Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Specialty Tea / Coffee Retailer to join our vibrant team in a high-traffic mall environment in Uptown Dallas. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about coffee and tea, eager to share their knowledge, and skilled in creating memorable customer experiences through product tasting and engaging interactions. You will be responsible for showcasing our premium selection, educating customers on flavor profiles and brewing techniques, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our brand’s commitment to quality and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging and informative product tastings for our specialty coffee and tea selections.
  • Actively approach and engage customers, inviting them to sample products and learn about our offerings.
  • Provide expert recommendations based on customer preferences and educate them on product origins, notes, and preparation methods.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain an immaculate and inviting store environment, ensuring product displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the overall customer experience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for coffee and tea, with a desire to learn and share knowledge.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and friendly approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of various coffee brewing methods and tea types.
  • Experience with POS systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
