Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Shopify Developer to join our collaborative global team. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Shopify e-commerce stores for a variety of clients. You will work closely with our design, marketing, and project management teams to deliver exceptional user experiences, robust functionality, and scalable solutions. If you have a deep understanding of the Shopify platform, expertise in Liquid, JavaScript, and modern web development practices, and a passion for creating seamless online shopping experiences, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize custom Shopify themes and apps.
- Implement new features and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into functional Shopify stores.
- Ensure responsiveness, performance, and cross-browser compatibility of all e-commerce solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high quality and bug-free code.
- Integrate third-party applications and services to enhance store functionality.
- Optimize website performance, load times, and SEO best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Shopify stores.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify platform updates, trends, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Shopify Developer.
- Expertise in Shopify theme development (Liquid templating language).
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Sass), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Shopify APIs (Storefront API, Admin API).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global, remote team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with headless Shopify setups (e.g., using React, Next.js, or Vue.js).
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp).
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques for e-commerce.
- Experience with Shopify App development.
- Certification in Shopify development.
