Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Assistant to join our logistics team in North York. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of beauty products from our distribution center to our retail stores and directly to customers. The Dispatch Assistant will support the dispatch operations, coordinate with couriers, track shipments, and maintain accurate records, playing a vital part in our commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence in the beauty sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating daily delivery routes and schedules for beauty products.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, couriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing real-time updates on delivery status.
  • Resolve delivery issues and discrepancies promptly, escalating complex problems to management.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, delivery records, and inventory documentation.
  • Prepare dispatch paperwork, including manifests, invoices, and shipping labels.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to logistics.
  • Support inventory management tasks, including receiving and organizing products for dispatch.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient working environment within the logistics department.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dispatch, logistics, or administrative role, preferably within retail or beauty.
  • Familiarity with dispatch software or transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of North York and Greater Toronto Area geography.
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
