Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Kitchen Dishwasher to join our food service team in Innisfil. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone looking for work during school terms and daytime hours. You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the school kitchen, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for food preparation and service. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Hand wash specific items as required, ensuring thorough cleaning.
- Store clean equipment and dishes in appropriate designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and machines.
- Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
- Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen supervisor.
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene practices.
