Job Description
Are you meticulously organized with a passion for efficiency? Chatters Hair Salon at The Forks is seeking a detail-oriented Salon Inventory Specialist to join our vibrant team. In this part-time, flexible role, you will be crucial in maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring our salon is always prepared with the products our stylists and clients need. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on structure and organization within a dynamic retail and service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing inventory, including professional products and salon supplies.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom and display areas, ensuring products are easily accessible and visually appealing.
- Process product orders, returns, and transfers efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor product expiration dates and manage damaged or expired stock.
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with salon management and staff to identify inventory needs and trends.
- Utilize inventory management software to track product movement and generate reports.
- Contribute to a clean and organized salon environment.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management or retail stock control.
