Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Production Warehouse Worker to join our manufacturing support team in New Port Richey, Florida. In this crucial on-site role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished products within our production facility and warehouse operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support various stages of the production cycle, from receiving raw materials to preparing final shipments, contributing directly to our operational efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming raw materials and components, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick and stage materials for production lines according to work orders and schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation.
- Package finished goods, prepare shipments, and load/unload trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse and production areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to optimize workflow.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damage, or safety hazards.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Understanding and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Forklift certification and demonstrable experience operating various material handling equipment.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
