Job Description
Join BrightStar Care as a Personal Caregiver and provide essential care and support to our clients in Henderson, Nevada. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for work-life balance and predictable routines. As a Personal Caregiver, you will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients adhere to their prescribed schedules.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas, laundry, and meal cleanup.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities or conversations.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
- Accurately document client care activities and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the nursing supervisor.
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as required (mileage reimbursement provided).
Required Skills
- Demonstrated compassionate, empathetic, and patient demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to strictly follow care plans and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of supervised experience as a caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish).
