Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Pool Attendant to join our dynamic team at Hilton Liverpool City Centre. As a Pool Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests using our swimming pool and surrounding facilities. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment, enforcing pool rules, and providing excellent customer service. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be crucial in creating a relaxing and secure atmosphere for our valued guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the pool area and surrounding facilities to ensure guest safety and compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Perform regular checks of water chemistry levels (pH, chlorine, etc.) and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool deck, changing rooms, and all related areas, including regular sanitization.
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests, including inquiries, towel distribution, and general amenity support.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies, administering first aid or CPR as necessary until professional medical help arrives.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or guest concerns to management immediately.
- Ensure all pool equipment is in good working order and stored appropriately.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of pool-related events or activities as required.
Required Skills

- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
- A proactive and responsible approach to safety and guest service.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR or willingness to obtain certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality or leisure environment.
- Current Lifeguard certification (e.g., NPLQ – National Pool Lifeguard Qualification).
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Experience with pool chemical testing and maintenance.
