Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, including receiving and processing prescriptions.
  • Learn and perform duties such as data entry, counting pills, labeling bottles, and maintaining patient records under direct supervision.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions, and assisting with various pharmacy services.
  • Manage inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with order placement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Successfully complete all required training modules and certifications to advance to a Pharmacy Technician role.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish)
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
