Job Description

As a Passenger Service Agent at Aberdeen International Airport, you will be the first point of contact for passengers, ensuring a smooth and pleasant travel experience from check-in to boarding. This dynamic role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport environment. You will handle various passenger queries, assist with luggage, process travel documents, and ensure compliance with all aviation safety and security regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet passengers warmly and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Process passenger check-ins, including baggage handling and seat assignments.
  • Verify travel documents, ensuring compliance with airline and country regulations.
  • Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, passengers with reduced mobility, and VIPs.
  • Manage boarding gate procedures, including scanning boarding passes and making announcements.
  • Handle passenger enquiries, resolve issues, and provide accurate flight information.
  • Coordinate with ground operations and flight crew to ensure timely departures.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and quality standards set by Menzies Aviation and regulatory authorities.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and willingness to learn airline-specific software.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid UK driving license (desirable for certain tasks).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an airport, airline, or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of aviation security procedures.
