Job Description
Join Wayfair as an Online Order Flow Tester and play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and error-free shopping experience for millions of customers. You will be responsible for meticulously testing our e-commerce platform’s order placement, processing, and fulfillment pathways. This entry-to-mid level position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual passionate about quality assurance and user experience within a fast-paced technology environment. You will identify bugs, verify fixes, and contribute directly to the reliability and efficiency of our core business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans for the entire order lifecycle, from product selection to post-purchase actions.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies in the order flow using bug tracking software.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and documentation.
- Analyze user feedback and convert it into actionable test scenarios.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to report progress and discuss challenges.
Required Skills
- 1+ year of experience in quality assurance, testing, or a related field, preferably in e-commerce.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with various web browsers and operating systems.
- Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms and online shopping processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Familiarity with test case management systems.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
