Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Supporting residents with meal times, ensuring adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in residents' health or well-being to senior staff.
  • Engaging residents in social activities and promoting independence where possible.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Adhering to all care plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of basic care principles or willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a care setting.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience with dementia care.
