Join the Amazon team in Portland, ME, as a Student Warehouse Team member with a focus on sorting and picking! Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort incoming packages and products into designated locations.
- Efficiently pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements using handheld scanners.
- Ensure product quality and correct quantity during the picking process.
- Pack items securely for shipment, adhering to Amazon's packing standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
- Operate basic material handling equipment safely after proper training (e.g., pallet jacks).
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 49 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy for scanner operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.

- Prior experience in a warehouse or production environment.
