Job Description
Join Walmart as a Field Quality Auditor with a focus on Retail & Service operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for upholding Walmart’s high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service across our retail locations in and around Layton, UT. You will conduct regular on-site audits, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to operational guidelines. This position offers the stability of a full-time role with the convenience of weekly payouts, empowering you to make a direct impact on our customer experience and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular on-site quality audits of retail stores and service departments, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Evaluate customer service interactions, product presentation, cleanliness, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.
- Document audit findings accurately and comprehensively, including observations, non-compliance issues, and best practices.
- Collaborate with store management and associates to communicate audit results and develop actionable plans for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and support for corrective actions, monitoring progress over time.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and internal policy updates relevant to retail and service quality.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit outcomes and contribute to broader quality assurance initiatives.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance auditing skills and knowledge of new operational standards.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and software for data collection and reporting (e.g., tablets, audit software).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet audit schedules.
- Solid understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems and propose practical solutions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between store locations.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally during store visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in quality assurance, retail auditing, or a supervisory role within a retail or service environment.
- Experience with large-scale retail operations and multi-unit auditing.
- Familiarity with compliance standards in retail (e.g., food safety, merchandising guidelines).
