Job Description
IBM is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Apple Security Admin to join our innovative and globally distributed team. This is a 100% remote work-from-home position, offering you the flexibility to contribute to a critical mission from anywhere. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our extensive Apple ecosystem, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive user data across all macOS and iOS devices. You will work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the development and enforcement of robust security policies and practices tailored specifically for Apple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and monitor security configurations for macOS and iOS devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies and procedures specific to Apple operating systems, applications, and services.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing simulations to identify and mitigate risks within the Apple environment.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents involving Apple devices, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Manage software updates, patches, and security configurations across all Apple devices to ensure continuous compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to end-users and IT teams on Apple device security best practices and secure usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network security, cloud operations, and application development, to integrate Apple security solutions with broader IT infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of security configurations, policies, incident response procedures, and audit reports.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in Apple device security administration (macOS, iOS, iPadOS).
- Expertise with leading MDM platforms such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, or similar tools for Apple device management.
- Strong understanding of fundamental network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation of security tasks, device configurations, and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Experience with compliance frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices, especially as they relate to Apple device integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions for macOS.
