Job Description
Are you ready for an exhilarating summer? PGL is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Counselors for an adventure-filled role in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children, leading outdoor activities, and making a real difference. We provide full board and lodging, comprehensive training, and a supportive environment where you can develop valuable leadership and communication skills. You’ll be responsible for supervising groups of children, delivering engaging activities, and ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise groups of children aged 7-17 during various outdoor adventure activities.
- Deliver engaging and educational sessions in activities such as archery, climbing, abseiling, kayaking, and team challenges.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times, adhering to PGL's strict safety protocols.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and fun atmosphere that encourages participation and builds confidence.
- Assist with evening entertainment programs, meal supervision, and pastoral care.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in activity areas and accommodation.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth camp operations.
- Participate in pre-season training and ongoing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a camp setting, childcare, or youth work.
- First Aid qualification (e.g., Outdoor First Aid or Emergency First Aid).
- Qualifications in specific outdoor activities (e.g., BCAB Paddlesport Instructor, CWA, Archery GB Instructor).
- Full clean driving license.
