Job Description
Are you an early bird looking to make the most of your day? Dillons Stores is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Morning Prep Associates to join our vibrant team in Wichita. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our fresh departments are ready for our customers by tackling essential food preparation tasks before the store opens. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy getting their work done early.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients for various departments.
- Assist with stocking and organizing produce, deli, and bakery items according to store standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, equipment, and utensils in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Support other team members and departments as needed to ensure smooth morning operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and food handling guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or grocery environment.
- Current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with knife skills and kitchen equipment.
