Job Description

Suffolk Construction is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-time Project Assistant to join our team, specifically supporting construction projects remotely on weekends. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in the construction industry, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to significant projects from home. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and project coordination support, ensuring smooth weekend operations for our project managers and site teams. This position is 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers with document control, including filing, logging, and distributing project-related paperwork.
  • Organize and maintain digital project files, ensuring all documents are accessible and up-to-date.
  • Schedule and coordinate remote meetings for weekend project updates, taking and distributing minutes as required.
  • Prepare and format reports, presentations, and correspondence using various software applications.
  • Support tracking of project schedules and deadlines, flagging potential issues to the project team.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors for information gathering or follow-ups as directed.
  • Perform data entry tasks to update project management software and databases.
  • Handle general administrative duties to ensure efficient remote weekend operations.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
