Job Description
Are you passionate about automotive aesthetics and have an eye for detail? Discount Tire is seeking a dedicated Mobile Rim Protection Pro with an Alloy Wheel Care focus to join our growing team in New Port Richey, FL. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for traveling to customer locations or working from our service center to provide expert repair, restoration, and protection services for alloy wheels. This includes cosmetic repairs, paint restoration, and application of protective coatings to ensure our customers’ wheels look their best and are shielded from future damage. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site and in-shop cosmetic repairs on alloy wheels, including scuffs, scratches, and curb rash.
- Apply specialized paint and clear coat finishes to match original wheel specifications.
- Install and maintain advanced rim protection systems and coatings.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify wheel damage and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, clearly explaining services and setting accurate expectations.
- Manage and maintain mobile service vehicle inventory and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during service operations.
- Document services performed and process necessary paperwork or digital records accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in automotive detailing, painting, or body repair, specifically with wheels.
- Strong knowledge of various alloy wheel materials and finishes.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for wheel repair and restoration.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in automotive paint and body repair.
- Previous experience in a mobile service role.
- Familiarity with protective coating application techniques (e.g., ceramic coatings).
- Passion for automobiles and staying updated on industry trends.
