Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in real-time, including history of present illness, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Shadow physicians during patient examinations and procedures, capturing essential details and observations.
- Ensure all documentation is precise, thorough, and compliant with medical and legal standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support clinical operations.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA/PIPEDA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify documentation needs and ensure accuracy.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong typing skills (minimum 60 WPM) and computer proficiency.
- Excellent active listening and observational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare or medicine.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education, particularly in science or health-related fields.
- Familiarity with medical terminology or anatomy/physiology.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
