Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our growing Obstetrics and Gynecology department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife looking to make a significant impact in a welcoming community hospital setting. We understand the challenges of international relocation and are pleased to offer comprehensive visa sponsorship and accommodation support for eligible candidates. You will provide holistic care to women throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth, and postnatal period, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of maternal and infant health.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their families.
- Conduct thorough assessments, monitor progress, and manage complications during labor and birth.
- Offer expert advice and support on breastfeeding, newborn care, and maternal well-being.
- Administer medications and perform clinical procedures within the scope of midwifery practice.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and family planning.
- Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in continuing professional development and training initiatives.
Required Skills
- Current registration as a Midwife in your home country (eligibility for Wyoming licensure required).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience in a maternity setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing normal and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Midwifery.
- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in a rural or community hospital setting.
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local population.
