Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert nutritional assessment, advice, and support to patients across various clinical settings. You will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based nutritional care plans, educating patients and their families, and contributing to the overall improvement of patient health outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with diverse health conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized dietary treatment plans based on clinical evidence and patient needs.
- Provide expert dietary advice and education to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated patient care.
- Monitor and review patient progress, adjusting nutritional interventions as required.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with Trust policies and professional standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and audit activities.
- Contribute to the development and update of departmental resources and protocols.
Required Skills
- BSc or equivalent in Dietetics.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Demonstrable experience in clinical dietetics, preferably within an acute NHS setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Proficiency in nutritional assessment and dietary analysis.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of dietetics.
- Experience in specialist areas such as diabetes, gastroenterology, or critical care.
- Familiarity with NHS patient record systems.
