Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Equipment Delivery & Setup Driver to join our growing team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery, setup, and instruction for various medical equipment, with a primary focus on hospital beds, to healthcare facilities and private residences. This position requires a compassionate individual who can handle equipment with care and interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles for the delivery and pickup of medical equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment, ensuring secure transport to prevent damage.
  • Assemble, set up, and demonstrate the proper use of medical equipment, including hospital beds, in various settings.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to patients, caregivers, and facility staff on equipment operation and safety.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, service records, and inventory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Represent Medline Canada professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and internal teams.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols when handling medical equipment.

Required Skills

  • Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for assembling and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Punctuality and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical equipment delivery or a similar field.
  • Experience with home healthcare equipment setup.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
