Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Perform general industrial cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers (training provided).
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and office areas within industrial settings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Work efficiently and independently to complete assigned tasks within the night shift.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for night shift work.
- Basic understanding of safety principles (training provided for industrial specifics).
- Willingness to learn and operate cleaning machinery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or industrial environment is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) or willingness to be trained.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
