Job Description
Are you meticulous, reliable, and looking for an entry-level opportunity to contribute to a busy automotive environment? Kwik Fit in Luton is seeking an Auto Body Shop Sweeper to ensure our workshop remains spotless, safe, and organized. This vital role supports our technicians and ensures a professional appearance for our customers. No prior experience is required; we are looking for a dedicated individual eager to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order within our auto body shop. Key Responsibilities
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming workshop floors daily to remove debris, dust, and spills.
- Emptying waste bins and disposing of refuse properly, including hazardous materials in designated containers.
- Cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain a tidy and efficient workflow.
- Wiping down surfaces, workbenches, and machinery.
- Assisting with the inventory and proper storage of shop supplies and parts.
- Maintaining cleanliness in staff rooms, restrooms, and customer waiting areas.
- Ensuring all safety regulations and cleanliness standards are met.
- Performing other general labour duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and capability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a workshop setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role (even if not in an automotive setting).
- A keen interest in the automotive industry.
- Full UK driving licence.
