Job Description

Join our team as an IKEA Patio Set Support specialist! You will be responsible for the professional unpacking, assembly, and setup of IKEA patio furniture sets at customer homes or designated locations. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a customer-focused approach to ensure complete satisfaction. You will work independently or as part of a small team, utilizing IKEA’s assembly instructions and tools to deliver high-quality results. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who enjoy practical work and helping customers bring their outdoor spaces to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations or designated assembly sites as scheduled.
  • Carefully unpack IKEA patio furniture sets, ensuring all components are present and undamaged.
  • Follow IKEA's detailed assembly instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to build sturdy and safe furniture.
  • Conduct quality checks on assembled items to ensure stability and correct construction.
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and answering basic product questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after assembly.
  • Report any missing parts, damages, or assembly challenges to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, wrenches).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation (van preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in furniture assembly, carpentry, or a similar hands-on role.
  • Familiarity with IKEA products and assembly methods.
  • Customer service experience.
  • First Aid certification.
