Job Description
Are you passionate about fresh produce and delivering exceptional service? Ocado Retail is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Personal Grocery Shoppers to join our team in Shoreditch, London. In this flexible role, you will be responsible for carefully selecting and packing high-quality grocery items for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and freshness. This role is crucial to our promise of delivering a seamless shopping experience, from our aisles directly to our customers’ doors. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately select and pick grocery items from shelves according to customer orders and quality standards.
- Ensure all perishable items are fresh and undamaged before packing.
- Efficiently pack groceries into designated containers for delivery, adhering to packing guidelines.
- Utilise handheld scanners or other equipment to track inventory and order progress.
- Maintain a clean and organised picking area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding stock levels or order discrepancies.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry grocery items (up to 15kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
