Job Description
Are you a meticulous problem-solver with a passion for organization and a keen eye for detail? IKEA is seeking an IKEA PAX Wardrobe Specialist, truly a Master of the Closet, to join our El Paso team. In this pivotal role, you will be the go-to expert for all things PAX, guiding customers through the design, planning, and assembly process of our modular wardrobe systems. You’ll ensure every customer leaves with a tailored, functional, and beautiful storage solution that perfectly fits their space and needs. This is more than just assembly; it’s about transforming spaces and bringing organizational dreams to life, providing exceptional service and expert advice every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation to customers on IKEA PAX wardrobe systems, including design, functionality, and customization options.
- Utilize IKEA planning tools and software to create accurate and detailed PAX wardrobe designs based on customer specifications and space requirements.
- Assist customers with product selection, ensuring all components (frames, doors, interior organizers, lighting) are correctly identified and ordered.
- Perform on-site measurements and assessments when necessary to ensure precise planning and installation guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex design or assembly challenges for customers, offering practical and creative solutions.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all IKEA PAX products, new arrivals, and system updates.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from planning to post-purchase support.
- Conduct workshops or provide demonstrations on PAX system features and assembly tips.
- Uphold IKEA's high standards of customer service, professionalism, and product knowledge.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in furniture assembly, specifically with IKEA PAX or similar modular systems.
- Exceptional spatial reasoning and design skills.
- Proficiency with design software or planning tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping people achieve their home organization goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role, preferably in home furnishings.
