Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospital Orderlies. This is an entry-level, ongoing position suitable for candidates with no prior experience in a healthcare setting. You will play a crucial role in supporting our medical and nursing staff, ensuring the smooth operation of hospital wards and departments, and contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our patients. Full training will be provided to ensure you meet the high standards expected within the NHS. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the safe and comfortable transportation of patients between wards, departments, and other areas of the hospital.
  • Transport equipment, specimens, and other essential items around the hospital as required.
  • Provide support to nursing staff in maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised ward environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of patient areas, including making beds and ensuring supplies are stocked.
  • Respond promptly to requests for assistance from medical and nursing staff.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by senior staff to support the smooth running of the hospital.
