Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible way to earn money on your own terms? Deliveroo is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Home Delivery Drivers to join our team in Wigan. As a self-employed driver, you’ll use your own car or scooter to deliver delicious food from local restaurants and shops directly to customers’ doors. This role offers complete flexibility, allowing you to choose your own hours and work when it suits your schedule. If you have a passion for providing excellent service and navigating the local area, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up food orders from various restaurants and stores promptly and efficiently.
- Deliver orders safely and punctually to customers' specified locations.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Navigate routes efficiently using a smartphone app.
- Handle food and packaging with care to ensure quality upon delivery.
- Manage your own availability and schedule using the Deliveroo app.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (car or motorcycle).
- Access to your own reliable car or scooter with appropriate insurance (including hire and reward insurance).
- A smartphone (iOS or Android) with data for using the Deliveroo rider app.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of the local Wigan area or a strong ability to use navigation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role is a plus, but not essential.
- A friendly and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours (evenings and weekends).
